Clearly Dollar Stamps

Last week I won some great stamps from Clearly Dollar Stamps.  In between my cleaning frenzy today I made this card.

I couldn't wait to use my stamps!  Although I didn't follow the layout - I loved the way this card turned out.  I love all of my new stamps and it was very easy to resize them on my computer.

The paper is from Mind's eye one of my favorite collections.

CPS 237

Good morning!  I went to bed thinking about this card.  This just goes to show you that I should have finished the card before going to sleep.

I kept trying to make this design to the right but it didn't work out it just kept moving to the center!

I wanted to use a "Happy Thanksgiving" stamp but I didn't have one.

CPS 236

I don't know about everyone else but the last two weekends have been hectic!  It feels so strange that I was not able to post.

Last weekend, we celebrated my Father's 89th birthday!  It was such a joy to be able to share this day with him even though his "girls" took him shopping for his birthday.  My sister's had me so busy that I didn't have a minute to breathe.

This is a card I made a long time ago for a friend who loves purple.  I love the way this turned out even though it was fairly simple.

The paper was a "Susan Wright" from K & C Company as well as the flower.

CPS 233 Part 3

This week is supposed to be vacation but I couldn't resist the challenge!  I apologize for the bad picture - I have had to make due with my camera phone.  I also had to buy supplies while traveling.

CPS Challenge 232 Part 1

Last week I was in Minnesota for work.  I was looking for inspiration but didn't get any.  On the weekend I decided to go to my sister's birthday party which was interrupted by the birth of her new granddaughter!  That was pretty exciting!

For this card I used My Mind's Eye "Love Takes Flight".  I starting out stamping balloons on the white card stock and then I did paper piecing.  The ribbon is from really reasonable ribbon.  I edged the cloud in blue ink and used my Cuttlebug template for texture.

I also thought you would want to see what happened during the earthquake.  When I got home my Cuttlebug plates were on the floor.  So much for the damage!

CPS Challenge 231 Part 1

I was having a hard time with this challenge until Cliff asked me to do a bird card!  We are avid bird watchers so this is very fitting.  I didn't have time to shop for a stamp so I downloaded a stamp from Designed2Delight.  I then pulled out my colored pencils for the cardinal.  The focus seems a little bit off but I am running out of time.  I leave for a business trip tomorrow so will be out of pocket for a few days.

I was so inspired by this color challenge - immediately I saw something embossed using these colors with a retro theme.  The picture did not turn out as well as I would have liked.

I had my mind on birds this weekend.  I don't know why this is a pink bird other than I was thinking pink!

CPS Challenge 229 Part 1

Happy Monday!

Next weekend my sister will be going to a baby shower for her son and his wife.  So my card has a baby theme interpretation of the design.

As you can see - I like clean simple designs - I try to make things frilly but it never seems to work out!  I wanted to stamp a sentiment on the front of the card but ran out of room so I had to settle for something on the inside.

CPS Challenge 228 Part 1

I am so thankful that I live in a country where we can worship freely.  Psalm 145:1 "I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever." I so look forward to worship on Sunday!

Still thinking about Fall and wanting the cooler days.

Also hoping that this second round of antibiotics kicks in.  It is no fun being sick in the summer!  Although it gives me a lot of time to work on cards.
